Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary (Morning Session), which included the work Apyu by Paul Feeley. The price achieved of USD 19,120.00 (€ 16,250.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Feeley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ACRUX in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary (Morning Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apyu von Paul Feeley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 16.250,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Feeley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ACRUX im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55).
