Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Drury achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2004. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Ancient Stones in a Landcape sold for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,203.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Drury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,480.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Drury erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Ancient Stones in a Landcape für GBP 836,50 (€ 1.203,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Drury mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit September beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.480,21) versteigert wurde.
