Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition with a male figure by Paul de Lussanet was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,200.00 – 3,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,762.50. Other works by Paul de Lussanet have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2012 by the work Virginia Woolf at EUR 3,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition with a male figure von Paul de Lussanet im Dezember 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.200,00 – 3.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.762,50 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Paul de Lussanet wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2012 die Arbeit Virginia Woolf mit EUR 3.000,00.
