Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Paul de Lussanet was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul de Lussanet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Virginia Woolf, which sold at auction in March 2012 for EUR 3,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul de Lussanet im September 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 750,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul de Lussanet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Virginia Woolf beobachtet, die im März 2012 für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert wurde.
