Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Untitled" by Paul Cowan was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 10,612.00 (€ 1,002.84). Admittedly, works by Paul Cowan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bceause The Sky Is Blue in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,680.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Untitled" von Paul Cowan im April 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 10.612,00 (€ 1.002,84) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Cowan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bceause The Sky Is Blue im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.680,74).
