Auction result well in line with expectations
The work BCUASEE THE SKY IS BULE by Paul Cowan was sold in the Horizon | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in August 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,832.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Cowan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bceause The Sky Is Blue, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,680.74).
