In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction British Pictures 1500-1850, which included the work Wooded Landscape With A Figure On A Track, A Cottage Beyond by Patrick Nasmyth. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,692.23), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Nasmyth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Pictures 1500-1850 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wooded Landscape With A Figure On A Track, A Cottage Beyond von Patrick Nasmyth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.692,23) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Nasmyth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 43.083,58).
