The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,120.00 (€ 7,250.55), 75% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Nasmyth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).

Die Arbeit Landscape with figures resting von Patrick Nasmyth wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.120,00 (€ 7.250,55) und damit 75% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Nasmyth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 43.083,58).
