Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,837.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Nasmyth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).
