Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A wooded landscape with cattle and a figure in front of a byre by Patrick Nasmyth was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. The price achieved of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Nasmyth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A wooded landscape with cattle and a figure in front of a byre von Patrick Nasmyth kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Nasmyth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 43.083,58).
