Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Patrick Lichfield achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2007. In the Photographs auction, the work The Duke And Duchess Of Windsor, 1966 sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,100.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Lichfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mick & Bianca Jagger After Their Wedding, Saint Tropez, France, 1971 in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,680.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Lichfield erzielte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit The Duke And Duchess Of Windsor, 1966 für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.100,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Lichfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mick & Bianca Jagger After Their Wedding, Saint Tropez, France, 1971 im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.680,37).
