Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Hennessy could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work Landscape With Monk And St John The Baptist changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,443.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hennessy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Portrait, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,693.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Hennessy konnte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape With Monk And St John The Baptist für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.443,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Hennessy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-Portrait beobachtet, die im September 2018 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.693,86) versteigert wurde.
