Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Hennessy could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work Landscape With Monk And St John The Baptist changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,443.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hennessy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Portrait, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,693.86).
