Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Yew Walk by Patrick Hennessy for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,827.37). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hennessy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Portrait, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,693.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Yew Walk von Patrick Hennessy für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.827,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Hennessy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-Portrait beobachtet, die im September 2018 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.693,86) versteigert wurde.
