Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Princess Diana, London, 1990 by Patrick Demarchelier. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,565.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Demarchelier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 in November this year with an auction result of EUR 138,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Princess Diana, London, 1990 von Patrick Demarchelier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.565,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Demarchelier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 138.600,00.
