Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Caulfield could be acquired at Phillips in London in January 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Found Objects changed hands for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,603.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Caulfield konnte im Januar 2017 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Found Objects für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.603,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
