This artwork by Paramjit Singh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Still Life) sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,404.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paramjit Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Distant Plains', which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paramjit Singh erzielte im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) für USD 35.000,00 (€ 25.404,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20) versteigert wurde.
