The work The Blue Rock by Paramjit Singh was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It achieved a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,379.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paramjit Singh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Distant Plains' sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).

Die Arbeit The Blue Rock von Paramjit Singh kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.379,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paramjit Singh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
