Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paramjit Singh could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Art Online Sale auction, the work Eight Trees changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 278.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paramjit Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paramjit Singh konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion South Asian Art Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Eight Trees für GBP 250,00 (€ 278,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
