This artwork by Paolo Farinati achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction, the work Saint Jerome, Saint Bartholomew And Saint Claire sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,621.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Farinati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ecce Homo in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paolo Farinati erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Saint Jerome, Saint Bartholomew And Saint Claire für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.621,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ecce Homo im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67).
