Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna And Child With St. Catherine, St. John The Baptist And Two Donors Beneath by Paolo Farinati was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,022.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paolo Farinati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ecce Homo, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).
