Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna And Child With St. Catherine, St. John The Baptist And Two Donors Beneath by Paolo Farinati was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,022.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paolo Farinati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ecce Homo, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).

Die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With St. Catherine, St. John The Baptist And Two Donors Beneath von Paolo Farinati wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.022,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ecce Homo beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67) versteigert wurde.
