A top price for Paolo Farinati - as previously expected
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work Ecce Homo by Paolo Farinati. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ecce Homo is the most expensive artwork by Paolo Farinati that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecce Homo von Paolo Farinati zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ecce Homo das teuerste Kunstwerk von Paolo Farinati, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
