This artwork by Paolo Farinati achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. In the Master Drawings auction, the work Elijah Brought To Heaven By A Chariot Of Fire sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,311.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paolo Farinati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ecce Homo, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paolo Farinati erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit Elijah Brought To Heaven By A Chariot Of Fire für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.311,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ecce Homo beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67) versteigert wurde.
