Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Look Deeper (No Summer) by Pamela Rosenkranz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,890.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pamela Rosenkranz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Because They Try To Bore Holes In My Greatest And Most Beautiful Work (Relief Of Avarice), which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 54,458.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Look Deeper (No Summer) von Pamela Rosenkranz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.890,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pamela Rosenkranz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Because They Try To Bore Holes In My Greatest And Most Beautiful Work (Relief Of Avarice) beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 54.458,50) versteigert wurde.
