Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Web Sampler #13 by Pae White was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pae White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scrapestry 6. in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 18,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Web Sampler #13 von Pae White im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.125,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pae White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scrapestry 6. im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.750,00.
