Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Big Snail by Pacita Abad was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 32,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,550.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pacita Abad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Punch in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,112.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Big Snail von Pacita Abad wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 32.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.550,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pacita Abad erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange Punch im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.112,47).
