Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ALAMANDAS by Pacita Abad was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Shanghai: Living With Art auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2019. The price achieved of CNY 60,000.00 (€ 7,697.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pacita Abad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orange Punch in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,112.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit ALAMANDAS von Pacita Abad wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai: Living With Art bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 60.000,00 (€ 7.697,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pacita Abad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orange Punch im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.112,47).
