This artwork by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work without title sold for USD 163,800.00 (€ 139,487.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shade of Black sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,332.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 163.800,00 (€ 139.487,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00.
