In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Covered Wagon at the Fair Drawn by Six Oxen by Oscar Edmund Berninghaus. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,298.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Edmund Berninghaus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Ancient Forest of the Indians 25 x 30 in. framed 30 x 35 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 542,175.00 (€ 525,210.69).

Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Covered Wagon at the Fair Drawn by Six Oxen von Oscar Edmund Berninghaus zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.298,95) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Edmund Berninghaus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Ancient Forest of the Indians 25 x 30 in. framed 30 x 35 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.175,00 (€ 525.210,69).
