In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Rimmon by Omar Rayo. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,494.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Omar Rayo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ola-Zen I, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rimmon von Omar Rayo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.494,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Omar Rayo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ola-Zen I beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert wurde.
