Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Me and You by Oluwole Omofemi was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,985.32), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Oluwole Omofemi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invader in March last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Me and You von Oluwole Omofemi wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.985,32) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oluwole Omofemi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invader im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72).
