Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Indian on Horseback by Olaf Wieghorst was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,082.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olaf Wieghorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Opening of the Cherokee Strip in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 193,182.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Indian on Horseback von Olaf Wieghorst kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.082,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olaf Wieghorst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Opening of the Cherokee Strip im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 193.182,79).
