Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cowboy on Bucking Horse by Olaf Wieghorst was sold in the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,803.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olaf Wieghorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Opening of the Cherokee Strip in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 193,182.79).

Die Arbeit Cowboy on Bucking Horse von Olaf Wieghorst wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.803,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olaf Wieghorst erzielen.
