Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sheriff's Posse by Olaf Wieghorst was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,875.00 (€ 30,250.55). Admittedly, works by Olaf Wieghorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Opening of the Cherokee Strip in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 193,182.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sheriff's Posse von Olaf Wieghorst wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.875,00 (€ 30.250,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olaf Wieghorst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Opening of the Cherokee Strip im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 193.182,79).
