The work Bringing Hope: Cosmic Girl by Okokume was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 189,000.00 (€ 22,438.36), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Okokume - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Eyes of the Soul (2 Works), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 69,300.00 (€ 70,768.86).

Die Arbeit Bringing Hope: Cosmic Girl von Okokume wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 189.000,00 (€ 22.438,36) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Okokume mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Eyes of the Soul (2 Works) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 69.300,00 (€ 70.768,86) versteigert wurde.
