Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection, which included the work Silent Night at Seven Mile Ford, Virginia by Ogle Winston Link. The price achieved of USD 3,528.00 (€ 2,884.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ogle Winston Link achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Silent Night at Seven Mile Ford, Virginia von Ogle Winston Link zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 2.884,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
