Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birmingham Special at Rural Retreat, Virginia by Ogle Winston Link was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,028.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ogle Winston Link achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birmingham Special at Rural Retreat, Virginia von Ogle Winston Link wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.028,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link erzielen.
