Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition, which included the work Sometimes the Electricity Fails, Vesuvius, Virginia by Ogle Winston Link. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,520.00 (€ 3,194.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ogle Winston Link achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sometimes the Electricity Fails, Vesuvius, Virginia von Ogle Winston Link zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.520,00 (€ 3.194,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
