Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction PhotographsSummer Edition, which included the work "Hotshot", Eastbound, Iaeger, West Virginia by Ogle Winston Link. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,942.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ogle Winston Link have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion PhotographsSummer Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Hotshot", Eastbound, Iaeger, West Virginia von Ogle Winston Link zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 5.942,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
