This artwork by Norton Bush achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2007. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Finney Peak, The Catskill Mountains, sold for GBP 3,125.00 (€ 4,246.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Norton Bush have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula in November 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,346.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norton Bush erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Finney Peak, The Catskill Mountains, für GBP 3.125,00 (€ 4.246,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norton Bush auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.346,67).
