The work Tropical Sunset by Norton Bush was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,880.85), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norton Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,346.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tropical Sunset von Norton Bush wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.880,85) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Norton Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.346,67) versteigert wurde.
