Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work South American Landscape 9 3/4 x 13 1/4 in. (24.8 x 33.7 cm.) by Norton Bush for USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,911.10). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norton Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,346.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit South American Landscape 9 3/4 x 13 1/4 in. (24.8 x 33.7 cm.) von Norton Bush für USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.911,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norton Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.346,67) versteigert wurde.
