In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Campfire Scene by Norton Bush. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,404.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norton Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,346.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Campfire Scene von Norton Bush zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.404,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norton Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vista Del Popocatepetl Desde Cholula beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.346,67) versteigert wurde.
