Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Bluhm could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in November 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Ode changed hands for USD 12,750.00 (€ 10,671.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Bluhm konnte im November 2020 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Ode für USD 12.750,00 (€ 10.671,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
