Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Norman Bluhm achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2020. In the First Open auction, the work Cheyenne sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,417.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Bluhm erzielte im August 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde die Arbeit Cheyenne für USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.417,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
