Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Norman Adams; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Oliviers in the Weed Field; Forest, Ardéche; Yorkshire Study; Cherry Orchard, Ardéche; Trees at Douk Ghyll; South France; and Bright Light on the Sea, Hebridean Study sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,648.82).
