Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poisonous plants in a secret place by Norman Adams was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,241.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Adams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oliviers in the Weed Field; Forest, Ardéche; Yorkshire Study; Cherry Orchard, Ardéche; Trees at Douk Ghyll; South France; and Bright Light on the Sea, Hebridean Study, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,648.82).
