Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cherry Orchard After Rain, France by Norman Adams was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 312.00 (€ 455.42). Admittedly, works by Norman Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Oliviers in the Weed Field; Forest, Ardéche; Yorkshire Study; Cherry Orchard, Ardéche; Trees at Douk Ghyll; South France; and Bright Light on the Sea, Hebridean Study in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,648.82).
