Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Adams could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Butterfly Painting changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 713.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Adams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oliviers in the Weed Field; Forest, Ardéche; Yorkshire Study; Cherry Orchard, Ardéche; Trees at Douk Ghyll; South France; and Bright Light on the Sea, Hebridean Study, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,648.82).
