In April this year Bonhams held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon, which included the work Still Life, Fruit and Flowers, 1955 by Nora Heysen. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 30,750.00 (€ 18,430.50), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nora Heysen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait, 1936 in April this year with an auction result of AUD 270,600.00 (€ 162,188.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life, Fruit and Flowers, 1955 von Nora Heysen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 30.750,00 (€ 18.430,50) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nora Heysen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait, 1936 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 270.600,00 (€ 162.188,42).
