Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Clear Day by Noel McKenna. The price achieved of AUD 10,800.00 (€ 6,349.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Noel McKenna have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2020 the work Green Door, Merrylands, 2005 was auctioned for AUD 9,760.00 (€ 8,289.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Clear Day von Noel McKenna zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 10.800,00 (€ 6.349,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Noel McKenna konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2020 die Arbeit Green Door, Merrylands, 2005 für AUD 9.760,00 (€ 8.289,45) versteigert.
